15th International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communication (ADCOM 2007)
International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communication (ADCOM) is
an important conference organized annually by Advanced Computing and
Communication Society (ACS), in collaboration with one educational
institution in India. Advanced Computing and Communication Society is a
registered society founded to provide a forum to individuals and institutions
interested in the promotion of Advanced Computing and Communication
technologies. The fifteenth edition of ADCOM (ADCOM 2007) will be hosted
by Computer Science and Engineering Department at IIT Guwahati during
18-21 December 2007.
ADCOM is a major international conference in the field of Computer Science
and Communication held annually in India. This conference provides a common
platform for the researchers and professional from Industries, R&D and
Educational Institutions, Government Organizations, Universities and
Under/Postgraduate students to share and, disseminate their innovative
and pioneering views about recent trends and developments in the areas of
computer and communication Technologies. A large number of delegates from
all over the world take part in this conference every year.
A pre-conference tutorial is always being planned with this conference for
the students and research community. In ADCOM 2007 also there will be
pre-conference tutorials. A limited number of fellowships will be provided for
students/researchers/faculty member of educational institutions from India
to enable them to attend the tutorial as well as the conference.
ADCOM 2007 will be organized by Advanced Computing and Communication Society
(ACS) Bangalore and Computer Science and Engineering Department of Indian
Institute of Technology Guwahati and it will be hosted at IIT Guwahati during
18-21 December 2007.
IIT Guwahati's campus is on a sprawling 285 hectares plot of land on the
north bank of the river Brahmaputra around 20 kms away from the heart of
the city. With the majestic Brahmaputra on one side, and with hills and vast
open spaces on others, the campus provides an ideal setting for learning.
Guwahati is treated to be the gateway of the North-East region of India.
Guwahati is well connected to the rest of India with rail and air travels.
North-East of India is the land of Blue Mountains, Green Valleys and Red River.
Nestled in the Eastern Himalayas this region is abundant in Natural Beauty,
Wild life, Flora & Fauna and its Colorful people. A blend of all these makes
it the most beautiful Eco-Tourism destination in South Asia.
The region comprises of seven states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya,
Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura. The colorful tribal people who still
retain their pristine touch mostly inhabit it offering you some beautiful
Eco-tours with Trekking & Wild life.
CALL FOR PAPERS:
Technical papers describing original, previously unpublished results are
solicited in all areas of theory and application of computer, communication and
information technology with special emphasis towards rural environment.
ADCOM 2007 will be organized in four tracks - Network, Internet, Architecture
and Applications. Areas of interest include, but not limited to:

* Network Design and Performance Analysis
* Web engineering
* Web Mining
* Pervasive Computing
* Information and network security
* Reconfigurable Architectures
* VLSI Design and Test
* Embedded systems

* FPGA/DSP implementation and algorithms
* Signal and Image processing
* Pattern Recognition and Computer Vision
* Multimedia and multilingual information systems
* Soft computing techniques
PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Please submit previously unpublished papers electronically (as pdf files)
on the conference website by May 15, 2007 and for more information contact
the Program Chair/Program Vice-Chairs. The manuscript should clearly state
the novel ideas, results and applications of the contribution. Submission
must also imply that the paper is not concurrently submitted elsewhere for
publication (conference or journal).
Submissions will undergo BLIND REVIEW. On the web site, please provide the
abstract of the paper, name, address, e-mail, telephone and/or fax numbers
of all authors with the contact author identified. Manuscript of the paper
should not contain any information related to authods identification.
Papers should not exceed
6 single-spaced pages including figures and references in two-column
IEEE conference paper format, unless you are willing to buy 1 or 2 more
pages if the paper is accepted (indicate this in a footnote in the paper).
Accepted papers will appear in a printed proceedings and will
be published by IEEE Computer Society Press (approval pending).
CALL FOR TUTORIALS:
This conference also has a history of running highly successful series of
tutorials. The first day of the conference (December 18, 2007) will be
dedicated to full day tutorials on recent topics in Computer, Communication and
Information Technology. Proposals are invited for tutorials of relevant
subjects. A tutorial proposal should include the abstract of the tutorial
and a brief biography of the speaker(s). Interested speakers are encouraged
to proposal to Tutorial Chairs by July 15, 2007.
CALL FOR STUDENTS' PAPER PRESENTATIONS:
ADCOM also provides a platform to students and reserch scholars
working in all areas of Computer Science and Engineering,
Communication Technologies to present
their on-going research works and interact with the fellow research scholars.
A poster presentation session is also planned for each accepted research work.
Interested students and research scholars are encouraged to submit the report
on their on-going research works to Student Forum Chairs by July 15, 2007.
BEST PAPER AwARDS:
Best Paper Awards will be given to the outstanding contributed papers. Student
authors should be identified on the manuscripts. Papers with at least one
student author will be eligible for the Best Paper Awards.
Companies and R&D laboratories are encouraged to exhibit their products and
recent development at the conference. Additionally, a half day of Industry
presentations is planned. Further details can be obtained from Exhibition
