The III International Congress will be held from February 12-15, 2008 at the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE), Gwalior-M.P (INDIA) we propose to include a comprehensive list of topics to enable scholars from various areas to participate and disseminate their research.

The Theme of the Congress is “Sports Medicine, Exercise Science, Physical Education, Sports, & Yoga and Yogic Sciences”. However, in order to accommodate and provide opportunities to scholars from other health related fields, open sessions are being planned.


All interested scholars are invited to submit Abstracts for Slide or Poster presentation. Abstracts must include Title, the Author’s name, and the Institution of affiliation. Please type your Abstract in English using Times or Courier Font with a character size of 12 points and a line spacing of 1.5 cm on a sheet of A4 size (210 x 297 mm) in MS Word Format. The deadline for receipt of abstracts: On or before December 10, 2007. Abstracts must be submitted electronically via e-mail in the format mentioned above.
Late submissions will not be entertained.

Congress Language
The official language for the Congress is English.

· Thursday, 13 February 2008, Entertainment program at the venue at 2000 hrs.
· Wednesday, 14 February 2008, Congress Dinner & Entertainment Program on Gwalior Fort at 1930 hrs.
· Friday, 15 February 2008. Closing Ceremony with Traditional Indian Farewell

Program Special (Young Scholar Award)
· In the interest of promoting research and scholarly activity, a Young Scholar Award will be given to the ONE best slide/poster presentations under each of the main thematic areas of the Congress (i.e. Sports Medicine, Exercise Science, Biomechanics and Sports Ergonomics, Sports, Physical Education & Yoga and Yogic Science)
· Eligible candidates must meet the following criteria
· PhD candidates or those who have completed their terminal degrees (doctorate or equivalent) within the past 5 years
· Be under the age of 35 years
· Must be the first author of their presentations
NOTE: Application forms are available on the website. Completed applications must be accompanied by
1) A letter of recommendation from a department head or appropriate institutional representative
2) Valid documentation verifying candidate’s date of birth.
The application form, required documentation and abstract must be received by December 10, 2007. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered for this award.

Modern multimedia presentation facilities (overhead & 35 mm slide projectors, LCD projectors, etc.) will be available at the Congress site.

Please complete the enclosed Registration Form and return it along with the delegation fee to the Congress Office. Upon receipt of the completed registration materials, participation will be confirmed.

“Local delegates” are defined as those participants who are working within the municipal limits of the city of Gwalior, MP. All others shall fall under the general category

Students will need to provide proof in support of their status along with their Registration form.
As per special arrangements with the Institute, the registration fee also includes accommodation at the dormitory or hostels on campus premises.
“Lodging will be based on an availability basis. (First Come First serve basis)
Those registering later than the due date are not guaranteed housing and will have to make their own arrangements at their own expense. No portion of the registration fee will be refunded in such cases" Guests desirous of making hotel reservations may do so at their own expense.
