National Welless Prevention and Fitness Conference (NHWPC)
|Event Date/Time: Apr 30, 2007|
While the social and economic benefits of healthier individuals are clear, the traditional medical model of treating illness rather than focusing more on prevention and health is at best inefficient. The challenge is to educate and drive change in the workplace and the marketplace. Whether they are employees, patients or the population at large, consumers need information, education, incentives, counseling and probably some management.
"Certainly there are community and employer responsibilities, but we must find opportunities to gently but clearly pass the bulk of the responsibility to the individual. Not only is this a gift of individual freedom and personal empowerment, it is also an economic necessity.
Please join me at the National Wellness, Prevention & Fitness Conference to engage with our speakers and your professional peers who are making it their business to keep people healthy." - Michael Samuelson
