THE HOST
The World Congress on Oils and Fats & 28th ISF Congress is a biannual Congress hosted by the International Society for Fat Research (ISF). The International Society for Fat Research was created in the 1950’s with the aim of securing an international teamwork of specialists to research into vegetable and animal fat and fat products in the field of general & agricultural chemistry, biology, food sciences, medicines, pharmacy and technology.
THE CONGRESS
The World Congress of Fats & Oils and 28th ISF Congress is an opportunity for world industry experts to exchange current information about fats, oils and related materials and products. Each Congress is headed by an internationally known scientist or technologist who acts as President of ISF until the following congress.
SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM
The Congress has an extensive scientific program potentially including sessions on:

THE DELEGATES
The World Congress of Fats & Oils and 28th ISF Congress is expected to attract approximately 800 delegates specialising in Lipid Analytics, Fat Industry and Environment, Fat Oil Commerce, Olive Oils, Lipid Bioscience and Genomics, Food Applications, Nutrition and Lipids in Animal Science. A targeted marketing campaign has already commenced and is focused on nations in the Asia Pacific, the United States, Europe and the United Kingdom due to the degree of commonality between these countries and therefore possible interest in the subject matter to be covered at the Congress.
THE VENUE
The World Congress of Fats & Oils and 28th ISF Congress will be held in the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre located on the waterfront in Sydney's most popular visitor precinct, Darling Harbour. The venue is surrounded by a selection of restaurants, shopping, accommodation and entertainment which promises to make the Congress a sociable and educational experience.
