Summer Event on Opto Mechanics: Joint Summer Conference for Business Execs and Summer Course for Precision Engineers
The 21st century has been named the ‘photonics century’, as optics is an enabling technology for many aspects of our daily lives: computer chips (optical lithography), telecommunications, DVD players, LED’s, and so on. Opto-mechanical systems are underlying many of these applications. In order to contribute to a further and positive development of the opto-mechanics industry in Europe, the first International Summer Course & Summer Conference on Opto-Mechanics is organized.
Summer conference >>> meeting of the minds
The Summer Conference top level program for business executives offers you industry & technology roadmaps, presentations on the latest trends in technology and business development, a workshop on corporate strategy and road mapping and they will have broad access to the important European industrial and research platforms as well as European funding programs.
Day 1: Industry roadmaps on Semicon, Machine performance, Space, Solid State Lighting, Medical, Automotive, Aviation and Telecom from the most prominent industry players
Day 2: Overview of technology trends like ‘Technology trends for a sustainable future’, ‘Major achievements in the industry’, ‘from research lab to commercial markets’, Eximer laser & Solid State laser, Electron optics, Micro optic systems, Manufacturing of very large and precise optical elements, Classical optics, and trends in Nuclear fusion.
Day 3: Open network day where you can meet with prominent industrial consortia, research institutes and governmental organizations The program starts with a managerial workshop on forming strategic alliances and create a long-term company roadmap.
Summer Course >>> brains on experience
150 high precision engineers from Europe grasp the opportunity to join the European network of excellence and work on real project cases under the guidance of prominent experts in the fields of optics, mechanics, control and special topics.
The focus of the Summer Course program will be on divers complexities within the field of Opto-Mechanics. Well known international top speakers, all experts in their own domain will share their research and market development knowledge.
Day 1: Industry roadmaps at the Conference. This will give you a good insight on market developments and future trends.
Day 2: Optics
Day 3: Mechanics
Day 4: Control
Day 5: Special Topics
The summer course offers European engineers an unique opportunity to get college from experienced senior engineers and scientist on the matter of: optics, mechanics, control and special topics. The mornings begin with three colleges from speakers of eminent companies and institutes The afternoons are for the 'brains on experience': working in teams on real project cases, under the supervision of an expert. (interactive demos, computer analyses and simulations).
Designing an opto mechanical instrument requires engineers to have broad but thorough knowledge. By working on a different subject everyday engineers will experience what information is critical and how to cope with this.
Meet the European Industry at the Opto Mechanics Showcase
The showcase offers an unique opportunity for companies to present themselves to a wide range of European business executives and precision engineers from the European Industry. The Showcase is held amidst the conference settings. The showcase offers an industry-to-industry and a business-to-business marketplace alike. Exhibition facilities at sympathetic cost level will provide and enhance the development of this marketplace. Delegates of both Summer Conference and Summer Course will have ample opportunity to visit the showcase. Also all adjacent social events, like receptions and diner buffets will take place here.
More information about the events and all relevant details for interested attendees to the conference, and exhibitor possibilities to the showcase are available at the website www.optomechanics-summerconference.com.
