Poverty and Social Protection Conference 2007 will try to answer multiple questions regarding the role and importance of equal distribution of resources and social inclusion. What potential, role and impact do poor countries have in politics, business, education and public sector? What are the major social and economical trends and what are the possible ways for reducing the poverty in underdeveloped countries?

The Conference will welcome scholars, NGO representatives, corporate and Governmental representatives that are connected with a mutual goal- poverty reduction and social responsibility. We hope we will have a pleasure to welcome you at this highly challenging and exciting international event and we look forward to meeting you in November in Bangkok!

Dates: * Poverty Reduction and Social Protection Conference 2007 will be held from 9th- 11th November 2007 * Applications and abstract submissions will be accepted starting from May 15th 2007 * Deadline for abstracts submission is October 1st 2007 * Deadline for final papers submission is October 15th 2007 Location: Poverty Reduction and Social Protection Conference 2007 will take place in the city of Bangkok, Thailand. All sessions will be held in the “First Hotel Bangkok" conveniently located in one of the best commercial areas in Bangkok and only 20 minutes away from the Bangkok international airport. Housing: We offer you accommodation in “First Hotel Bangkok" (www.firsthotelbangkok.com), which is where the Conference will take place. This is a quality three star hotel located in one of Bangkok’s best commercial areas, with easy access to both downtown and the international airport. All rooms are equipped with private bath, AC, telephone and TV. PRSP 2007 participants are entitled to special discounted rates: 19 US dollars per person per night for shared double standard room or 38 US dollars for a single standard room, breakfast and tax included. Meals: All lunches and coffee breaks during the Conference are included in the Conference fee, as is a networking dinner that will take place on November, 10th 2007. Price Registration fee: Delegate 320 US $ By August 31st 2007 360 US $ September 1st 2007- On-site Students Fee* 220 US $ By August 31st 2007 260 US $ September 1st 2007- On-site *a proof of full time student status must be sent to contact@tomorrowpeople.org. We accept either a valid student card or a letter from the university. A non refundable 100 US$ deposit is required to secure your spot in the Conference and is due two weeks after you have been officially invited to join the Conference. This amount will be credited toward the Conference fee. Payment options: Check out here for the payment options available. Financial Support: Due to our non for profit nature and very limited funds, we are not able to provide financial support that would cover Conference fee, accommodation or travel expenses to any of our participants. However, we encourage participants to search for funding from outside organizations and we can provide a letter of support for them. Applications: On-line applications will be accepted on a rolling admission basis as long as there is space available. Due to a highly competitive admission process, we encourage all persons to apply early. Abstracts/ Papers Submissions: If interested in presenting a paper/ research at the Conference, you can submit your abstract along with the application form by October 1st 2007. Full papers are due October 15th 2007 in electronic version and following format: A4 size paper Single line space, preferably Times New Roman 12 font. Abstract of maximum 200 words on first page (under title) Total paper length to be maximum of 12,000 words (approximately 24 full pages) Short bio-data of writer/s at end of paper.
