The QUEST Conference series is now an internationally recognized annual venue that addresses the dynamics of system, school, and classroom instruction, change, and leadership. York Region District School Board is pleased and proud to host this Conference ~ this year and last in conjunction with the Ontario Government’s Literacy and Numeracy Secretariat ~ providing inspiration and ongoing leadership to educators and system/school leaders worldwide.
Our QUEST this year for “Leading Edge� Learning will take us into exiting new realms as we together explore education through the eyes of our students and build our themes on the basis of student input. Participants will experience many opportunities for meaningful engagement with experts, colleagues, and peers.
An important foundation of this year’s Conference experience will involve the active exploration of a personal area of passion selected from amongst one of the generated themes from a “Dare to Dream� perspective, and the development of a personal commitment and game-plan towards making your vision a reality.
Educators will leave the Conference with a much more developed global sense of 21st Century Learning Skills, Digital Literacy, and student perception, voice, and perspective with respect to the world of education, and the world in which they will be living, learning, working, and playing. Our goal is increased student achievement for all.
In addition to a powerful and inspiring slate of keynote speakers, practical workshops, and the opportunities to explore and dialogue, part of the excitement will also involve students simultaneously building an online environment for QUEST, developing podcasts and media presentations, as well as engaging with educators in dialogue that relates to their perspectives on education and learning.
