Description

Conference Overview:

Marshall Goldsmith, corporate America’s preeminent executive coach, is renowned for making already successful people even more successful by identifying and then eliminating the interpersonal flaws that are holding them back from the top. Surprisingly, the very characteristic you credit with getting you where you are—like the drive to win at all costs—is often the one that’s preventing you from attaining your potential. In this Soundview audio conference, Goldsmith waives his usual $250,000 consulting fee and reveals the simple steps you can take right now to reach the next level in your career.

To illustrate the effectiveness of his techniques, he offers vivid real-life examples, both of formerly flawed clients and of public figures who are renowned for crucial workplace skills. Bill Clinton, for instance, is a masterful listener; Goldsmith details how making this skill a habit was instrumental in his rise to power.

About the Speaker:

Marshall Goldsmith holds an M.B.A. from Indiana University and a Ph.D. from UCLA. He is on the faculty at Dartmouth College's Tuck School of Business and at Alliant International University's Marshall Goldsmith School of Management. The co-founder of Marshall Goldsmith Partners, he is the author or co-editor of eighteen books. The American Management Association has recognized Goldsmith as one of fifty great thinkers and business leaders who have influenced the field of management over the last eighty years. He has also been featured in BusinessWeek, The Economist, The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journa (which named him one of the top ten executive educators), Fast Company (which named him America's preeminent executive coach), Forbes (which named him one of the five most-respected executive coaches working today), and Harvard Business Review. Goldsmith lives with his wife in Rancho Santa Fe, California.
