Event Summary:
Network Enabled Capability is at the heart of Defence Transformation across Europe. It is the coherent integration of sensors, decision-makers and weapon systems along with support capabilities to create superior decision-making. This combined structure will enable military forces to operate more effectively in the future strategic environment through the more efficient sharing and exploitation of information. This will lead to better situational awareness across the board, facilitating improved decision-making, and bringing to bear the right military capabilities at the right time to achieve the desired military effect.

This enhanced capability is about more than equipment; it will exploit the benefits to be obtained from transformed doctrine and training, and optimized command and control structures. The ability to respond more quickly and precisely will act as a force multiplier enabling forces to achieve the desired effect through a smaller number of more capable linked assets.

The Second Annual Marcus Evans Network Enabled Capabilities conference will focus on the doctrinal aspects of NEC from a European perspective, whilst taking an in depth review of on going development in the network enabled capability arena. Furthermore it will explore the existing and future requirements for an effective defensive strategy, not just the system requirements but the personnel requirements as well.

This conference will provide you with a holistic view on not only the concept of NEC, but will also provide an in depth analysis of the real life practical examples of experiences, challenges and problems that are being experienced in the international world today. Taking a unique case study angle this conference will take a detailed look at the systems, testing analysis and simulation strategies of leading nations.

The speakers from US and European Military Forces are expected to provide a deep insight to the current development of NEC and more importantly the existing and future requirements for an effective defence strategy.
