Description
With the ongoing implementation of the landmark EU Cogeneration Directive, cogeneration is widely accepted as a proven and cost-effective solution for increasing energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions. For decades, Europe has been a world leader in cogeneration development. Today, the market prospects look better than at any time since the early 1990s, whether for large industrial plants, commercial schemes or emerging household applications. How will Europe's diverse national markets evolve? What applications offer the best opportunities? What strategies will the major energy companies adopt? What are the key drivers and blockers?
During DECX Europe 2007 we will discuss the growing importance of the decentralised energy market. Industry experts from all over Europe will present their point of view on the regulatory barriers for DE development, innovations in DE technologies, economic and environmental drivers for DE, successful DE projects, the impact of DE on the T&D network and further issues related to the future of the DE market.
