Description

Adapting rapidly and thoroughly to a highly volatile and unpredictable business environment is currently a major challenge for Europe’s refining and petrochemical plants. Existing refineries across Europe (East & West), and in fringe areas like North Africa and Turkey, currently have generous means of upgrading and modernisation in order to comply with increasingly stringent environmental and product quality standards, and successfully deal with a steep diversity in demand for both product quality and volume. However, in past years investment has often been made randomly, without paying attention to all areas that need to be subject to modernisation, and to the big picture of how to deliver peak performance while minimising the impact of external factors on the overall operations.

This Forum features some of the main players of Europe’s Refining industry, as well as from the areas of prospective economic enlargement of the EU – North Africa and the Near East - to present their general strategy, and their completed, ongoing or forthcoming projects with a view to maximising ROI and deliver consistent performance.
