Event Date/Time: Feb 26, 2008
End Date/Time: Feb 28, 2008
In 2008 AutoSlovakia will celebrate its 5th year as the only automotive conference to address developments in Slovakia’s automotive sector. Commonly referred to as the ‘Detroit of the East’, Slovakia has risen to become one of the most important automotive production centres in the CEE region. Automotive producers are drawn to Slovakia by top-quality production as well as the country’s access to key automotive markets in western Europe. Challenges to growth include an increasingly limited pool of skilled workers and the expansion of production centres in neighbouring countries including Poland. However, the country’s three OEMs KIA, PSA and VW all see Slovakia as a strategic country to invest in and are steadily stepping up production in the CEE region out of the country. Following the great popularity of past AutoSlovakia conferences among automotive suppliers in the region, including the most recent event in February 2007, which was opened by Peter Ziga, Vice Minister of Economy, AutoSlovakia 2008 will draw on its well-established business heritage to offer delegates an enhanced networking experience. Building on the pillars of industry-specific presentations from senior representatives in Slovakia’s OEMs and strategic networking opportunities, AutoSlovakia 2008 will give delegates access to more than 150 senior representatives from regional automotive businesses and an expert speaker panel that will address current automotive projects and hot industry topics in Slovakia. Senior automotive figures recommend AutoSlovakia.
