Call for Papers
Conference papers are invited from academics, scholars and
practitioners for the international conference proposed to be held
on 12th and 13th, January 2008 at Thrissur, Kerala, India. The venue
of the conference, Thrissur is the city of “Thrissur Pooram” ( a
grant festival) and renowned as the cultural capital of Kerala. The
title of the seminar, “Asian Theatres and the Western World: Culture,
Alterity and Representation” defines a nexus of themes for discussion
pertinent to theatre practice in Asia and the West. Abstracts of the
papers should reach the Centre for Performance Research as e-mail
