Air Power India 2008
Venue: Hyatt Regency, New Delhi
Event Date/Time: Oct 15, 2007 |
Description
Air Power India 2008 is based within the backdrop of a clear and very current trend of rapidly strengthening geopolitical, economic and defence partnerships and alliances with India. The Indian defence establishment is now far more open to information exchange, and seeks to learn much from the best practice of its leading counterparts. It also seeks to attract meaningful levels of FDI into the Indian defence and supporting industrial base, especially from the major global defence contractors who seek to bid for Indian defence business.
It exemplifies best practice military case studies (on a strictly non-classified, non-sensitive level) from Indian, US and other major militaries, and goes beyond air power itself, and into the use of ‘aerospace power’ for civilian and maritime purposes as India’s geopolitical responsibilities and reach augment. It also brings together leading global defence companies and industry specialists to showcase the most advanced systems and technology designed to meet the requirements of the world’s leading military forces.
