Description

This meeting will focus on “New challenges for environmental sustainability “ and will be a valuable forum to discuss environmental stress problems, either natural or antropogenic, and their effects on the ecosystem and on human health, as well as education and governance issues for environmental sustainability.
CICTA is a bienal congress, organized by the Iberoamerican Society of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology (SICTA). Representatives from academia, government and industry of Iberian and Latin-American communities gather to present and discuss the latest scientific findings and present challenges. But CICTA is, after all, an excellent opportunity to promote new collaborations or to develop pluridisciplinary and international strategies of cooperation.

The Organising Committee welcomes the submission of abstracts for oral or poster presentations on any of the following themes:

• Behaviour and distribution of contaminants (air, soil and water)
• Emerging and persistent pollutants
• Bioaccumulation and biomonitors
• Biomarkers
• Environmental stress
• Tropical ecotoxicology
• Environmental quality and risk assessment
• Effects of pollutants in human health
• Urban air quality
• Environmental contamination and socioeconomy
