ECAP-congresses are organized every three years by the European Society for Analytic Philosophy, ESAP. The aim of the congresses is to establish contacts and encourage collaboration among European analytic philosophers. The previous conferences took place in 1993 (ECAP 1 in Aix en Provence), 1996 (ECAP 2 in Leeds), 1999 (ECAP 3 in Maribor), 2002 (ECAP 4 in Lund) and 2005 (ECAP 5 in Lisboa).

The Sixth ECAP is locally organized by the Institute of Philosophy of the Jagiellonian University and the Polish Association of Logic and Philosophy of Science.

ECAP 6 will be held in Krakow, the largest city of southern Poland, located on the banks of the Vistula River. Krakow was the capital of Poland from the 11th to the 16th century. It is a city with a unique character and a rich cultural heritage.

The official language of the Congress is English.
