| Description |
The National Service Framework (NSF) for long neurological conditions emphasises the need for integrated care lifelong care from diagnosis to death. A survey of neurologists, rehabilitation and palliative care physicians in 2006 has highlighted gaps in current service provision, and a lack of joined up working practice.
This conference aims to bring together clinicians from all backgrounds to consider how we may best work together to support people with complex neurological disabilities. It will address the challenges of clinical care in this under-explored area of practice, and will launch a new set of national guidance for integrated working in the area of neuropalliative rehabilitation.
