| Description |
This international conference on DARK ENERGY is jointly organized by the Origins Institute (OI) at McMaster University and by Perimeter Institute (PI), co-sponsored by the Canadian Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics (CITA).
The conference portion of this meeting will hosted by the Origins Institute for 4 days - Monday May 14 through Thursday May 17, on the campus of McMaster University, in Hamilton Ontario. The conference will be immediately followed by a more focused workshop to be held from Friday May 18 through Sunday May 20 at Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics (PI) in nearby Waterloo, Ontario.
The conference is meant to bring together observers and theorists in astronomy, cosmology and particle physicists to highlight the observational evidence and theoretical ideas for Dark Energy, and to highlight the most promising future directions. To this end the meeting includes broad review talks with which to start the discussion on each of the main areas of enquiry.
