Description As the United Arab Emirates (UAE) continues to experience double-digit economic growth, it is continuing to drive its reform agenda by giving the private sector a greater role as the country diversifies from its oil-dependent economy. Under the new UAE strategic plan, the private sector will be encouraged to become more active in education, training, labor management, and policy making.

The challenges ahead include effective human resource (HR) development, professional and managerial skills development, and the structuring of a closer public/private working relationship.

Dubai’s Strategic Plan 2015 calls for the private and government sectors to work together to find ways to overcome skill shortages and to create a reservoir of personnel who can help drive continued growth.

It calls for application of advanced technologies, efficient business policies and practices, retention of productive labor, and the creation of work environment that enrich as well as improve the quality of human resources.

Dubai’s futuristic vision, outlined in this plan, seeks to achieve dramatic and accelerated economic goals. It calls for the country’s human resources strategy to be restructured in accordance with the changing requirements of the UAE.

And it calls for both government agencies as well as business entities to work together to develop unconventional strategies that can help leverage human resources in order to achieve high quality benchmarks the UAE has set for itself.

To help achieve these goals, Datamatix is presenting “UAE 2015: Human Resource Challenges” – a forum that has been carefully designed to assist government and private sector organizations understand UAE 2015 goals and objectives – as well as to help these organizations develop corresponding action plans to serve these growth objectives.

This forum will focus on enabling attendees to understand the demographics and projected demand for human resources; and the targeted economic goals that are called for. National, regional and global experts will be on hand to outline key issues, including the expected demographic trends, the need to adopt suitable educational policies, and the need to develop corresponding labor policies.

This conference aims to help UAE policy makers and HR professionals map out and implement futuristic plans in line with the goals set in the strategic plan. It would provide advice and examples of good practices in key HR areas drawn from all over the world.
