This is the fourth year the SANS Internet Storm Center is hosting SANSFIRE, and we promise quite a bit of excitement. The Internet Storm Center is sponsoring SANS@Night sessions with talks focused on current attacks and threats and how the Internet Storm Center will help you in your fight against these threats.
In the past year the Internet Storm Center was very active in the early detection of malicious activity on the Internet and again has been the first choice of system administrators world-wide for accurate and timely information. Several of our incident handlers will be present at SANSFIRE 2007, and you will certainly want to make time to meet and get to know our fantastic team. The great success of the Internet Storm Center is based on information sharing. Nothing fosters information sharing and builds trust better then face to face meetings like SANSFIRE 2007.
The course schedule for SANSFIRE 2007 features the full lineup of SANS classics in the disciplines of audit, security, management and legal. We are also hosting a series of classes presented by outside partners such as government initiatives on DIACAP and NIST, Secure Coding in C + C++, and a series of courses from USENIX, the Advanced Computing Systems Association.
SANS events offer much more than just training. This is the place to meet other information security professionals, to discuss new products with vendors, to participate in online challenges, and listen to world-class guest speakers.
