| Description |
The Joanna Briggs Institute is a not-for-profit global organisation committed to the development, promotion and support of evidence-based health care. The initial formation of the Institute ten years ago, arose out of the recognition of a need for a collaborative approach to the evaluation of evidence derived from a diverse range of sources, including experience, expertise and all forms of rigorous research.
The notion of ‘best practice’ is important to health professionals and consumers alike and is central to the planning and implementation of health care systems. Best Practice means engaging in practices that are based on the best available evidence, however this process is by no means easy to achieve. As a result, JBI has formulated a collection of resources that are up-to-date, easy to use and can provide the required information to establish, monitor and maintain evidence-based best practice in the clinical and health care area.
Any healthcare professional who is dedicated to ensuring evidence-based best practice is maintained in their workplace is encouraged to attend this unique multidisciplinary convention to be held in Adelaide, South Australia.
