Learning begins at or before birth and continues, if we’re lucky, until we leave this planet. Literacy, Learning for Life, the theme of the 2007 EL Conference, will focus on the importance of literacy: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking in every phase of our learning all through our lives. We recognize that there are many people that influence our literacy paths: family, teachers, librarians, administrators, employers, lawmakers, media, etc., etc. Our 2007 conference will present many of these people and how they influence us.
