| Description |
We are pleased to invite you to attend the XIth ISPCAN European Regional Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect which will take place November 18-21, 2007 in Lisbon, Portugal. The Conference is organized by the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN) and the Association of Women Against Violence (AMCV).
This conference will serve to challenge the existing research and work in the field of child abuse and neglect prevention. It will provide a forum for thematic meetings, allowing participants the opportunity to share knowledge and skills and to build bridges between theory and practice. Three main questions are in the front line of this conference: Can we stop child abuse and neglect? What can we learn from survivors and their family members? Are current models of intervention and prevention working?
With this conference, we will have the opportunity to showcase some of the most prestigious academics and professionals working at the international level for child abuse and neglect prevention. Registration is open to all professionals involved in the field of enforcement officers, NGOs, civil servants and others. Papers are welcome covering relevant mental health, medical, social and legal issues.
