Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) and Nanotechnology are expected to play a leading role in the development of technology in this millennium. Progress of research and development in these areas depend on strong integration of multi-disciplinary areas that include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Medicine and Engineering.Micro and Nano scale fabrication technology and measurement systems have opened up a new paradigm that engages researchers in pursuit of research in the areas of medicine, micro-lens, lab-on-chip, ultra-precision sensors and so on.The International Conference on MEMS & Nanotechnology (ICMN'08) aims to be the platform for engineers, scientists, technologists and entrepreneurs in these evolving areas of cutting edge technology toshare ideas and present their innovations. ICMN'08 is also expectedto provide the directions of research in resolving technology issueswhere macro approaches fail. The Faculty of Engineering, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) is pleased to invite authors to submit their papers to ICMN'08.
