The Philippine Geographical Society (PGS) and the Department of Geography, University of the Philippines Diliman, invite scholars, teachers, alumni, and other interested parties to participate in the National Conference on Geographical Studies 2007 (NCGS 2007). Concurrent with the celebration of the Geography Week in UP Diliman this November, this special NCGS aims to initiate a discussion on the recent developments in geographic research and education. More specifically, this conference will explore contemporary geographic issues and trends that are relevant to Philippine development, discuss the methodologies and teaching strategies in geographic education, generate new and innovative discourses in geographic teaching and research, and formulate a research agenda and identify emerging paradigms in geographic research.
