The Conference is devoted to the production
and use of films from basic research to devices
and new applications. Its interests include
preparation techniques such as photon-, electron-,
and ion-enhanced deposition and processing,
electrical, magnetic and mechanical
properties, process monitoring, and analytical
characterization methods. Interests extend to
diffusion and electro migration, growth, structure
, epitaxy, nucleation, and chemical phenomena
at thin film interfaces. The first International
Conference on Thin Films was held in
Boston Mass. USA in 1969 and ICTF13 was held
in in Stockholm, June 2005. The ICTF series of
conferences is organized by the Thin Film division
of the International Union for Vacuum Science,
Technique and Applications (IUVSTA).
