Coast to Coast 2008 is Australia's biennial national coastal conference. It will focus debate, discussion and learning across the full range of coastal and marine issues - at the international, national, state, regional and local levels.
Coast to Coast 2008 offers us all the opportunity to:
* consider key coastal challenges and issues from a range of perspectives,
* learn about new coastal initiatives and programs that tackle current and emerging issues,
* meet, re-connect and network with people with an interest in the coast, including many professionals and specialists, and
* re-energise our batteries!
The theme of the 2008 Coast to Coast conference is Coast to Coast Collaboration: Crossing Boundaries. Our themes will be developed around this and plenary speakers will be invited.
The 2008 Conference Program will feature a number of outstanding local and international speakers, several concurrent sessions, poster presentations and a fantastic choice of field trips at the end of the conference. The Conference attracts over 400 delegates from across Australia and overseas and provides a wonderful opportunity to meet and extend contacts.
Delegates will include Commonwealth, State and Local Governments, Natural Resource Management Regions, leading research and education organisations, coastal and marine industries, coastal and marine consultants, managers, planners and engineers, NGOs, indigenous groups, user groups and many other community organisations.
