‘Access to Learning for Development’:
The Pan-Commonwealth Forum on Open Learning invites your contributions
In 2008, the fifth Pan-Commonwealth Forum on Open Learning (PCF5) will take place in London with an overall focus on ‘Access to Learning for Development’. Participants will explore how open and distance learning can help to achieve international development goals, access to learning and education for all. There are four key themes for the event: ‘Governance and Social Justice’, ‘Health’, ‘Livelihoods’, and ‘Children and Young People’.
The organisers are now calling for contributions, which can take the form of workshops, round-table discussions, formal academic papers, presentations, poster sessions, group work and networking. The deadline for proposals is 30 November 2007.
Proposal guidelines, online submission forms and general information can be found on the Forum website http://www.col.org/pcf5.
The Pan-Commonwealth Forum on Open Learning is organised biennially by the Commonwealth of Learning, an intergovernmental organisation created by Commonwealth Heads of Government. PCF5 will be hosted by the University of London, which next year celebrates 150 years of widening access to higher education through its worldwide External System.
