| Description |
ALT-C 2008 will explore the complex dichotomies presented by learning technologies to citizens, learning providers, and society. The conference will extend the debate over the 'digital divide', providing a forum for practitioners, researchers and policy-makers to develop their thinking and practice.
Conference Co-Chairs
ALT-C 2008 will be held in Leeds, UK, 9-11 September 2008. The Co-Chairs will be Dr Jill Jameson (University of Greenwich, UK) and Dr John Sandars (University of Leeds, UK).
Keynote speakers
Keynote speakers will include:

David Cavallo, Chief Learning Architect for One Laptop per Child,
and Head of the Future of Learning Research Group at MIT Media Lab;</li>
<li>Dr Itiel Dror, Senior Lecturer in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Southampton;</li>
<li>Hans Rosling, Professor of International Health, Karolinska Institute, Sweden, and Director of the Gapminder Foundation.</li>
