| Description |
Networking and networks have emerged as new business paradigms in industrial research and development and innovation processes. A considerable number of the world class industrial sectors have decentralized their research and development undertakings and have distributed their R&D units in a network of agile, efficient and innovative units , geographically in order to gain more added value and competitve advantage.
This trend although novel but highly dynamic is growing with a tremendous speed and is puuting all the business activities and processes under its coverage to an extent that the range of this widespread change that is occuring in the industrial research and development units and its consequent impacts may not be simply visible and trackable and as a result leaving these units with huge challenges and chaos.
The increasing complexity of these networks leaves the R&D managers with no choice than to devise dynamiclly appropriate management structures for the purpose of boosting the productivity and accomplishing the organizational targets.
Our conference with the theme of R&D and network value creation is aiming at analyzing the importance and significance of R&D in a country’s industry in the first place and rethinking the link between R&D and network value creation
