| Description |
This course is aimed at adult and pediatric neurologists, neurosurgeons, and psychiatrists, although internists and genreal practitioners may also find the topics timely and useful.
Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to:
*Apply to clinical practice the current concepts in the diagnosis and management of multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, headache in women, prion diseases, viral-induced demyelinating disease and immune mediated neuropathies in diabetes mellitus.
*Be familiar with the diffrential diagnosis of Parkinsonism, perioperative management of Parkinson's disease, interraltion of sleep disorders and epilepsy, modern approach to Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and the role of mitochondria and genes, cyanobacterial hypothesis of ALS, timing of surgery in spondylitic cervical myelopathy, neuroimaging in intracranial bacterial infections, public health burden of stroke, medical management of stroke and diagnostic and interventional approaches in stroke, secondary stroke prevention and rehabilitation of stroke patients.
*Evaluate difficult patients with movement disorders and epilepsy.
