About the Seminar

There is much interest within the communications sector regarding wideband and multi-band antennas; as communication terminals need to handle increasing number of bands such as GSM, DCS, PCS, and 3rd generation cellular, as well as GPS, Bluetooth, WLAN and Hiperlan.

There are now also requirements for ultra-wideband systems for use in future high capacity radio and indoor navigation systems. Likewise in the defence sector there is a continuing need for wideband and multi-band antennas to support applications such as multifunction radar and reconfigurable aperture antennas for ESM, ECM and communication applications. Antennas remain crucial to many new wireless systems that form the core of future capabilities.
