The aim of this conference is to facilitate interaction, discussion, and collaboration amongst the participants, and provide a platform to share the latest developments in the field of GeoInformation Technologies. The conference also serves as a good opportunity for companies to display and promote their products and services to a large gathering ranging from top decision makers from government and private sectors, prospective users, academicians, to vendors, policy makers and representatives of various international organizations working for promoting the cause of this technology, and its contribution to development in Africa.
The scope of the conference revolves around highlighting the experiences gained from the practical use of satellite monitoring in different branches to support sustainable development in Africa, together with the recent development in GeoInformation Technologies (i.e., Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems). The 1st International Conference GITSDA 2008 is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the latest innovations, achievements and practical results in the sphere of GeoInformation Technologies.
