This course is divided into two three-day sessions. You may enroll in one session or both. On Sunday you can choose from one of several optional workshops to allow participants the opportunity to explore a topic in deeper detail, or you can choose to have the day off and enjoy San Diego.
This program will feature presentations of the latest information in virtually every area of medicine. The program is divided into sessions that focus on Pulmonary Disease, Cardiovascular Disease, Gastroenterology, Kidney Disease, Pain Management, Neurology, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Social Issues, Hospitalist Issues, GU Issues, Health Maintenance, Neoplastic Disease, Musculoskeletal Issues, Alternative Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Participation in this course will allow the participants to earn up to 46.5 credits. Up to an additional 4.5 credits can be earned by participation in workshops.
The entire course is focused on a presentation of the evidence for or against diagnostic or therapeutic recommendations with an emphasis on evidenced-based decision making in Internal Medicine. We have assembled state-of-the-art lectures and timely reviews. Each presentation will focus on practical decision making.
This year’s course is especially pertinent to the practice of internal medicine in the 21st century and is intended for primary care physicians, internal medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, and all other interested healthcare professionals.
