CEWIT’08, October 16, 2008 - CALL FOR PAPERS

4th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CUTTING EDGE

WIRELESS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES

This conference, organized by the Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT), at Stony Brook University is the 4th in its technical series. The Center is a 250 million dollar government/industry/academic partnership to lead the next wave of the wireless and information technology revolution. The Center partners include some of the world’s best technology companies and research institutions. The conference provides a platform for leading academic and business institutions to explore collaboratively new technologies and their business potential. Possible paper topics for this year’s conference include (but are not limited to):

· WLAN (802.11x), WiMAX (802.16x), 3G and 4G Systems

· Multiple Antenna Systems (MIMO/Beamforming)

· Radio Resource Management and Interference Management

· Cross Layer Design

· QoS management and provisioning, security

· Mesh & Ad Hoc Networks

· Wireless Sensor Networks (using ZigBee or other technologies)

· RFID Networks

· UWB Communications

· Performance Analysis of Wireless Systems

· Wireless medical devices and telemedicine

· Wireless solutions/applications (e.g., RTLS - location tracking, asset management, etc.)

· Pervasive and wearable computing

· Wireless and mobile solutions and services

This year we welcome industry case studies (e.g., deployments, new applications and services, etc.) in addition to advanced technology topics. Please submit an abstract of no more than 500 words! (Times New Roman 12) with paper title, authors names, affiliations, postal address, phone, fax and e-mail address with five keywords. The abstract should state the objective and summarize the methodology and key findings of the work. The abstract will be reviewed by the Conference Program Committee. All abstracts should be submitted as e-mail attachments (Microsoft Word or PDF) using a file name including your first and last name, e.g., TomJohnson.doc to cewitconference@gmail.com
