Dr. James Garbarino is the Director of the Center for the Human Rights of Children at Loyola University, Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Joshua Perper is Chief Medical Examiner of the Broward County Division of Medical Examiner and Trauma Services in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He has served as a member of the editorial board for the American Journal of Forensic Medicine and Pathology from 1970 - 1990. Dr. Perper has authored over 120 publications in the field of forensic science.
