The opening speech will be made by Turgut Tokgöz, Secretary General of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Turkey (IEIS). There are three sessions in the seminar which will be focusing on important key issues concerning the generic industry. The first session’s title is Strategies for Non-Multinational Generic Companies which will be chaired by Dr. Jürgen Regenold from Regulanet AG (Regulatory Affairs Network). He will be joined by Ulrik Markussen, Executive Vice President, Generics - Orifarm Denmark and M. Levent Selamoðlu, General Manager, Mustafa Nevzat Pharmaceutical.

The title of the second session is Opportunities for Global Companies which will be chaired by Pharm. Meltem Kurtsan, President of Kurtsan Pharmaceuticals. Within this session Dr. Georg Stark , Joint Managing Director of Alfred E. Tiefenbacher will be presenting Generic Success Through Innovative Licensing Approaches where Leighton Howard, Managing Director of GenericsWeb will accompany him by presenting The Increasing Importance of Patents in Generic Drug Development.

Dr. Georg Stark will then chair the Expanding the Generic Portfolio session. Zeynep Ulusoy, Deputy General Manager of Nobel Pharmaceuticals will share their experiences on The Role of IP Department in a Multinational Generic Company where Dr. Jürgen Regenold, CEO of Regulanet AG Germany will be presenting the Regulatory Landscape for Generic-Plus Products.

Following the success of the last year, this year’s event brings together the executives and key professionals from the leading pharmaceutical companies from Turkey and World as well.
