Welcome to the World capital of cement trading!

RUSMET GROUP is honored to invite you to take part in the International Conference “Cement of South-East Asia-2008. Opportunities for Russia and CIS countries” which is to be held on March 16-18, 2008, in Shangri-La hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.

At present Russian construction companies are facing several difficulties with cement supplies. Construction sector tends to grow for 15-20% annually by 2010, and in our estimation cement consumption in Russia will raise 12-20% per year. Production growth is expected by 3-5% per year and it is obvious that consumption growth will surpass the output growth. Cement shortage in Russia could reach 10 mln t by 2010.

Capacity utilization is approximating to 95%, but near 70% of all capacities is outdated. Russian industrialists are considering opportunities for construction of new capacities, but these plants will come on stream only after 2010.

Current situation favors growth of import, but neighboring countries also experience several problems with cement supplies. Rusmet Group of companies successfully held similar conferences in Istanbul, Turkey to attract Turkish cement producers and in Shanghai, PR of China to promote Chinese cement export to Russia. Each of the events was attended by more than 200 delegates, including the senior management of the all the largest Russia cement-consuming companies and traders.

Russian construction companies are looking for diversifying of cement supplies in local market and South East Asia is one of most interesting but unexplored cement-production region for them. We decided to hold this conference to provide Russian, Ukrainian and South East Asian companies with the opportunity of meeting and discussing the topics of current market conditions, its features and possible cooperation. Top-managers of leading Russian cement-import companies are very interested in cooperation with producers from SEA countries and will participate in the conference.
