Employers of choice know they need to be specific about how to develop their
competence requirements.

Recognising this, the IAM published its Competence Requirements Framework in June
2006. This was the first systematic attempt to describe what asset managers should
be able to do and know. It has been widely adopted by asset-rich organisations for
building and managing AM teams. The IAM is conducting a thorough review, taking on
board extensive user feedback, to create version 2.0 of the Framework. At this seminar,
the draft version will be worked through in detail, for the first time in an open industry
The seminar presents a unique opportunity
to hear the new Framework explained by
its authors. Attendees will also be able to
discuss the Framework with like-minded
AM professionals and get hands-on with it
in specialty workshops focused on learning
and development, recruitment and
selection, and team building.

Experts will address:
• Tackling competence barriers to high performance
asset management
• International benchmarking: lessons from the
Australian AM Council
• Building teams and individuals who have the ability to
bridge gaps between asset stakeholders

Key Benefits
• Attend the only seminar to be organised by the
framework writers
• Find out how to make asset management structures
and processes more efficient
• Get hands-on with the new framework in
speciality workshops
