Description

Single and Multi-Family Houses: Improving Performance Through a Systems Approach: Building Science Insight 2008/09

How can low-rise residential buildings be designed to optimize occupant satisfaction? Designers and builders need to ensure adequate performance of building systems in order to meet occupants' expectations for energy performance, comfort and well-being.

This coming fall and winter, National Research Council Canada experts will present their latest research relevant to the design and construction of low-rise buildings. BSI 2008/09 will address the important roles that ventilation and heating systems, high-performance windows, fire resistant components, acoustic separations and liveable basements play in forming an integrated system to achieve high performance low-rise buildings.

The seminar will be presented in English and French in fifteen cities across Canada.
