The IEEE Antennas and Propagation, Microwaves Theory and Techniques, and Electromagnetic Compatibility Societies, Malaysia Chapter, is pleased to announce 2008 International RF and Microwave Conference (RFM 2008) which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from December, 2-4 2008. RFM 2008 is the third in the series of highly successful RFM series of conferences initiated by the Chapter to provide opportunities for researchers, engineers, and industrialists working in areas related to microwave technology to present research results, discuss problems of current and mutual interest, and exchange views and experience. Technical papers describing original work in research, development and application of RF and microwaves in the following areas are solicited: Active and Passive Microwave Devices; RF/Microwave Integrated Circuits; Advanced Materials for Microwave Applications; Radio Propagation and Antennas; Millimeter-waves and Photonics; Electromagnetic Compatibility; Wireless and Cellular Communications Technology; CAD Algorithms and Techniques; Computational Electromagnetics and Electromagnetic Modeling; MEMS and RFID; Microwave Metrology; Packaging and Interconnects; High Speed Technologies; RF and Microwave Engineering Education; Radar and Satellite Technology; Biological Effects and Medical Applications; Ferroelectric and Acoustic Wave Components.

Submission of Abstracts:
Prospective authors are invited to submit an extended abstract, in English, by email to Prof Zaiki Awang at not later than July15, 2008. The abstract should be in Word or pdf format and should not exceed 300 words, including figures, diagrams and data. Only electronic submissions are acceptable. Further info is available at

A series of Tutorials in the area of RF and microwave engineering are planned before the conference. Prospective Instructors for the Tutorials are invited to submit their proposals to the Secretariat.
