With the increase of life expectancy and the consequent increase in the number of patients suffering from brain degenerative disorders, the search for products which reduce or minimize cognitive deficits associated with aging has become very crucial. It is estimated that within the next 50 years, approximately 30% of the world population will be aged 65 years or aged; more importantly by the year 2025, 70% of world’s aged population will be living in developing countries. The National Institute of Health predicts, if the current trend continues, there will be more than 8.5 million AD patients by the year 2030 in USA alone. In India around 4.5 million patients are suffering from these dreaded disorders. Presently, there are no satisfactory diagnostic procedures and therapeutic regimens available for the management of these cognitive disorders. Despite the severity and high prevalence of these diseases, Allopathic system of medicine is yet to provide a satisfactory remedy. Therefore, neurobiologists all over the world are looking for new directions and alternative strategies for managing cognitive disorders.

This conference will serve as a platform for neuroscientists, neuropharmacologists, Physicians, bioengineers, teachers and students to discuss various aspects of neurodegenerative disorders. The researchers will enlighten the participants various aspects regarding management of AD related disorders, which can be of enormous use to the fellow scientists, doctors and students for taking positive steps to alleviate these dreaded behavioral disorders by conducting quality research as well as proper treatment of patients suffering from cognitive dysfunctions.
