Event summary:

Investments in the oil and gas industry have experienced unprecedented growth over the past few years and will continue to do so for quite sometime in future. Even with the prices of oil being unstable and the surging subprime crisis, there seems to be no dearth to the investments in the Middle Eastern region. Therefore, it is imperative to discuss critical issues relating to this industry and Fleming Gulf makes an initiative of bringing together the experts from the region in order to share and discuss their viewpoints on the challenges and strategies for future.

Due to the increase in number of projects being undertaken in the Middle East, other issues come in as a package. Therefore, this event is carefully crafted to address and discuss pressing issues such as the fluctuating oil prices, increased capital investment, different investment tools or vehicles and much more. This year, we have also decided to discuss emerging markets and economies in mineral rich regions such as Africa, Iraq and Iran which are seeking investments within their basic industries. By providing a platform for new financing structures and discussing the next wave of investment opportunities, this event will definitely carry forward the status it has created from the last year event.

Our inaugural “Investments in Oil and Gas Forum” held in October 2007 in Dubai had an overwhelming response with due contribution from some enriched leading industry representation from Saudi Aramco, Kuwait Oil Company, Oman Oil Company, Arab Bank, HSBC, Mashreq Bank, Riyad Bank etc and more along with support of our premium sponsors TAQA, Ashurst and Univest Group. The event was well attended by over 100 regional and international delegates. Key highlights of the conference were presentations on Saudi Aramco’s US$ 70 million worth of capital investment, KOC’s plans and aspirations, GCC project finance outlook, effect of rising capital investment, etc.

The "2nd Annual Investments in Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals Forum" promises to be even bigger and spectacular with a highly focused program that will be crafted with the help of our distinguished advisory panel comprising of the industry experts from the NOCs, leading banks and consultants in the region and outside. This event will provide a platform for discussions with the leading players and get their insights and feedback on the current scenario in their respective fields. Therefore, making this event something that cannot be missed.
