Course Description

ISO/IEC 27001:2005 is the internationally recognized standard that helps organization protect their sensitive information by also managing people, processes and information systems.

The course also addresses the requirements of BS 25999, the world's first British standard for business continuity management (BCM). About Almerindo Graziano

Almerindo is the Director and founder of Silensec www.silensec.com, a company providing consultancy services in information security and specialized ISO27001 compliance, technical security assessments and security training.

He holds an MSc in Electronic Engeneering and a PhD in mobile computer security, both from the University of Naples (Italy). He is a senior academic at Sheffield Hallam University, UK, where he leads the MSc in Information Systems Security, in collaboration with the British Standard Institution (BSI) and the SANS Institute. He is also a member of the GIAC advisory board and a SANS Institute community instructor. He holds a number of professional certifications, including the OPST from ISECOM, the GCIH, GAWN and GCIA from the SANS Institution, and is a BSI-certified ISO27001 Lead Auditor trainer and auditor.
