As a general theme for this first congress, we propose that of Immigration and Multiculturalism, without closing the door on other papers within the ample domain of Chinese Studies.

We shall address the main theme with the assistance of leading researchers and authors in each of the proposed areas. Our priority is to welcome other papers and observations to encourage a collective consideration and an exchange of ideas and experiences among participants.
