Description
As a recognized DoD sweet spot, Net-centric operations have been hailed as the tactical advantage that could help US troops overcome their enemies. Despite improving mission effectiveness and providing advanced communications options, bandwidth limitations and fears of network vulnerability have prevented net-centric warfare from being utilized to its full potential. Complex and multi-faceted, net-centric ops are a series of network processes that involve several interconnected technologies and channels affecting all walks of military and civilians from systems engineers to program managers, field users to flag officers. With so many facets of defense operations affected by these theories, it has become a challenge to generate a systematic approach to the growth of this industry without hindering its phenomenal capabilities.
