The energy sector faces considerable challenges in both the short- and long-term. The rise in retail supply prices, compounded by a soaring commodities market, has precipitated a renewed focus on the consumer. Security of supply remains a critical issue in the gas and electricity markets. Moreover, as climate change looms large on the regulatory agenda, the industry and the government must collaborate in order to ensure a sustainable generation mix. In an environment where the future price of carbon is uncertain and the percentage of electricity generated using renewables needs to increase significantly, the energy sector must determine how and where to focus resources effectively.
The Energy Forum is run in conjunction with the IEA & Marketforce's 3rd annual Renewables 2008 conference which takes place on the 2nd & 3rd October in the Radisson SAS Portman. Please visit the registration page to see the savings that you could make when you book onto all 3 days!
