The International Symposia on SHS are held every two years and address both the fundamentals and applications of exothermal synthesis of materials and their processing.
Previous meetings were held in Kazakhstan (Alma-Ata, 1991), USA (Honolulu, 1993), China (Wuhan, 1995), Spain (Toledo, 1997), Russia (Moscow,1999), Israel (Haifa, 2002), Poland (Cracow, 2003), Italy (Cagliari, 2005), France, (Dijon, 2007).
The SHS-2009 Symposium will be held in July
2009 in Tsakhkadzor, Armenia. The Symposium
will be held over five days with invited and
contributed papers being presented on science and technology of SHS.
1. Combustion theory and modeling;
2. Structural Macrokinetics of SHS processes;
3. Chemistry and Technology of SHS processes;
4. SHS of advanced materials (including metals,
ceramics, intermetallics, composites, etc.);
5. Non-conventional SHS processes: New
methods and applications;
6. Industrialization of the SHS processes.
The symposium technical program will have three
parallel sessions. The topics will be addressed in invited plenary lectures, keynote lectures, selected oral presentations and poster sessions. Special session will be organized for young researchers. In addition, round table discussions will be organized
