The bestLog project, initiated by the European Commission, is establishing an exchange platform for the improvement of supply chain management practice across Europe.

bestLog aims to:
Improve logistics practice
Improve logistics education
Reduce differences across Europe
Set standards for logistics education and practice
Create growth and jobs
Achieve a better match between EC policy and business decision

To achieve this, bestLog has collected a large number of case studies, highlighting good logistics practice in all areas of supply chain management.

The bestLog Workshops & Conference

There is a series of 3 practitioner-oriented workshops during the year 2008 followed by the Logistics Good Practice Conference in Prague in December 2008. The aims of the workshops and the Conference are:
To initiate logistics knowledge exchange between firms from different sectors
To promote good logistics practice derived from bestLog cases
To develop bestLog concepts further

In the bestLog Conference, research results and case studies will be presented by experts from the project as well as from the firms who contributed case studies.
