The conference will address cutting edge topics in the use of calculators, guidelines, and other algorithmic techniques to improve patient care in terms of treatment planning, quality and safety, decision support, interpretation of laboratory tests, diagnosis, and prognosis in Health Care. The conference key presenters will address the social and political aspects of the technologies role in enhancing health care, planning for chronic disease management, decreasing costs, improving documentation, and reducing medical errors and much more.
The goal of this exciting 2.5 day meeting is to create a forum for an ideas exchange among the international leaders in Algorithmic Medicine and chart a course for the future. This will occur though informative participant’s presentations, engaged debate, thoughtful reflections and future planning.

The international AlgoMed 2009 conference is an outstanding opportunity for you to explore how best we can assist health care in addressing challenges and to learn about what algorithmic medicine can do to benefit populations.
You are invited to submit a full paper to present a paper or poster, or to put together a panel on a specific topic or to simply undertake the necessary planning activities to attend and participate. The content of all papers and proposals should be consistent with the overall conference theme and contribute to our understanding of how best to set about creating improving sustainable health systems through the optimum use of information and knowledge by means of algorithms and technologies.
The organising committee have begun an industry and academic association and support process via significant partnering with leading research centres, firstly University of Texas, Houston and E-HEALTH Centre, CSIRO, Australia.
